I've tried a bunch of 'em.Dipoles, Terk amplified, cubical quad, RatShack omni-directional in the attic. The thing is I'm getting a "strong" signal. It's the hiss-hask underneath that's tiresome/annoying. So, I wonder if the hiss isn't being picked up on the way into the translator site and then amplified and rebroadcast.
We're in rolling hill country between here and the Pocono Mountains and I'd be one to doubt getting a quality signal from the main transmitter site is possible.
Your other reply has given me some questions to ask the engineer the next time we talk. Thanks for your input.
