have you tried rabbit ears? Thesse can be aimed and tuned, but do need resetting for each station.How big is your biggest room? And, do you know where the staions are on the compass from where you are?
It just might be big enough for one or two rhombic wire antennas.
these can approach or exceed even boom-type external directional antennas.
