Mind you it helps to have a station worth the trouble, *, doing simply miked OB's / recordings of acoustic classical, and jazz as well as cd's and tapes from overseas incl. the Met!!!!. No ads but lots and lots of promos which are beginning to sound like them, anyway!I've got a second and its less promo-ish and gentler with it, a local community arts / music mob and they do use compression, but not a lot, and they record concerts/OB's, and their ads aren't LOUDDDDD!!!! and they cover lots of music and stuff *Auntie ABC's Classic FM just won't/can't. World, comedy, Blues, etc! guest speakers at events etc.
Thankyou for confirming that -any old antenna will do - isn't a full picture - of the potential sound quality benefits - for good rational and objective ohm's law type reasons.
IMO and E the more directional the better - with sufficient gain for fully limiting all my FM sockets/ rcvrs in the house. etc,
Within reason, but mine's gig was to being directional from ChO VHFTV/11/ to Ch10. Yep that big old LONG Tandy item with <5dbd gain, signal strengths are NOT the problem here, hills ARE.
I may simply restore/clone the dear old thing - or some other longish FM item. At least all the other gear and cable would still work (! less $$$$!?)
And clone / restore the CA8 dual-H / phased array plus CH 2 gain extenders!
Off to the recycling joint!
Projects for summer!
