I was meditating upon the nature of of radio personality voices when the the thought struck me, "is some of that resonant quality due to some sort of processing, or alternately a byproduct of the transmission?" Another possibility I considered is this quality being produced from some studio acoustics issue.I recall from years past that this quality of voice was something that programmers sought. Anyone know if there is any processing going on? I noticed that female radio voices have this quality as well. I've pretty much ruled out this being a transmission byproduct because I don't hear this quality within musical recordings being broadcast.
Call me curious.
