your purchase of this unique piece of audio kit! My hopes are that you enjoy it as I and these other fine knowledgeable gents have for many years to come.
I might also take this opportunity to "Thank" Msquared for his very helpful information as to the tubes in the 102,its posters like him that give this site the "credibility" so sorely needed to fellow `philes requiring knowledge.Fortunately I have a second pair of 1964 mullards platinum matched pair purchased for my KORA HERMES 24/192 DAC - { now utilising Pearl cryos 1974 cv2492/E88cc}- that, after installing in my tuner substantiate Msquareds claims. The tuner sounds much better with much improved mid range, along with separation, etc... {Mullard nos qualities}-again these qualities aren't missing with stock tubes, its just that as with any reference piece of equipment subtle improvements come through in a "big' way that just warrant the tuners cost and allow the owner that much more satisfaction when tweaking and squeezing out that last iota of performance when listening to your M.D.102--especially late in the evening and into the nighttime, my preference. As you may notice in my setup cdb I really have a love for my chosen Plinius class A amps and Mirage speakers with tubed sources and I see you have Audio Research another very eloquent and respected line, your new "102" should blend in very well, WELCOME ABOARD and again: ENJOY!! Best Regards /// Tim W...
