NEC didnt actually make that tuner.Im looking at it from recollection when I had my electronic serivce center when I worked for westinghouse and as I recall JC Penny had marketed the same tuner in the MCS series..Its either a Nikko or a Matsushita tuner and yes it is a very good performer.Do a search on Nikko FM tuners and Matsushita fm tuners and if you find close cosmetically,that will be the manufacturer and model most likely.
