Apart from the extreme levels mentioned below, multipath occurs in lesser amounts, too. It can be anything from gross distortion down to tizziness or a phasey sound, and in my experience can add a grainy or gritty or "transistory" overlay to the sound at lower levels.The only real solution is a directional antenna. Often the installation of a directional antenna cleans up the sound quite noticably.
