I once had an 8000T that dropped its reception. The techs at Artech (who was the Audiolab distributor at the time) couldn't figure out what was wrong. The tuner had to be sent to the actual Audiolab company in England for repair. The techs also claimed I tampered with the circuitry, and refused to honor the warranty. Since I also had a problem with lamps constantly burning out on the display (the only part of the tuner I actually "tampered" with), I just made sure the repaired unit worked and then sold it. It was the one audio component I owned that was a lemon. In retrospect, it was a decent sounding tuner, but not the world-beater that fmtunerinfo.com proclaims it to be.
