Cos I have a cunning plan - to get round this silly (female ?) objection to proper external directional antennas - if it's mostly in the same direction plus or minus a bit.Is there a loft under a non-metal roof?
Can you enveigle her to into hearing the T-100 with a 'good antenna', and then with a whip, or something else silly, even a pr of rabbit ears? On a station/s she likes, and aren't as clean as you'd like.
JBTW this experiment won't do you any harm either, I ween.
Then discuss the loft - directional plus rotator - option or two splayed wire rhombics on a ceiling if the arc isn't great. Rhombics can disappear, and they don't get affected by soot and stuff if you have a chimney. And, they CAN be strung in a loft, too. And, they're CHEAP!
The T100 really is that good - it deserves a good 'tenna / to be driven hard with a clean MP free signal. I believe Accuphase was a group of Kenwood engineers who were serious audio nuts!
You lucky bastard. My wife loves high quality / valve sound, too.
