No, that wouldn't be a good idea. My point was why spend that much money on a horn that can run down that low only to mount a driver, that at best, needs to be crossed over a couple of octaves higher.

For a 1" driver I'd encourage you to try the 18sound XT1086. You will need a CD "compensation" circuit though which is basically a padding resistor bypassed by a cap. Values would depend upon your driver which you didn't mention.

P.S. Their little horn, the XT120, is very cheap and not bad at all if you are just looking to try horns for the first time and don't wish to invest.
