I built this DAC kit from DIY Paradise called the "Monica 2" it sounds fantastic but only has .8v output. I have a friend that has more experience than anyone, when it comes to preamp tubes. He told me that his favorite preamp tube is the 6H6P tube and not many people know about it. So I decided to build a gain stage for the DAC using the 6H6P tube , which was a little bit of a challenge because there is so little info regarding this tube.I decided to build my own chassis from scratch. It sounds so good that I actually have lost interest in vinyl. I'm not saying that it sounds better than vinyl but it's not much of a compromise.
