I was all happy about fixing my Luxman K-03 cassette deck. But one of the members on the Tape Heads forum brought to my attention about the dreaded
"Orange Cap Desease" and that I should replace the ones in the Oscillation circuit. Everything is working fine but it may eventually go bad.

This happens alot in the Nakamichi cassette deck and I found out the Luxman K-03, 04, and 05 have these same caps. This goes for any cassette deck that may use these caps from 80-86. So if you can't calibrate, Erase, or Record on your high end deck, this may be the issue.

I already ordered my parts for these film caps and the electrolytic caps as well since I will be in there already. I didn't want to do this but everything is working so better to do it now that I don't have any failures with my deck. I got all the belts too.

So I thought I would pass this info along to the fellow members here.
