Tom,You can try spray cleaning the pot if the pot
has an 'opening'; try Blue-Shower spray.
If you can get to the pot and is removable from
the chassis powdered graphite will help.
Apply the graphite then blow out the excess graphite.But best bet is to have it replaced; for once
the pot gets noisey/scratchey it is waring out making
a poor connection.bye;
