Help! Message asks for Moniker choice for every page!

Hey,
I just registered as an inmate -after three years- and evey time I select a post, I get a box to choose a moniker "Bambi B" or "< >" for this "form." I don't know the origin of the "< >".
This happens for every single move on the site, i.e every thirty seconds. The "<>" is the conventional symbol for genuine Telefunken and as a confirmed Amperex user would never claim association.
How can I get rid of that choice box? ASAP?
