RE: Another option

The Model One Sig may be designed for off axis listening but I'm willing to bet that listening tests were conducted in a symmetrical environment.

I don't know whether toe in will help but it may. How much is going to depend on your room and you're going to have to experiment. I'd probably start with the speakers pointing at you. That's probably going to give a brighter sound than you're used to but don't worry about that initially. Listen to see if the soundstage/imaging problem changes for the better or worse, or whether it stays the same.

If it stays the same, or close to the same, then I suspect that playing with toe in won't help you. If it changes, then also try having the axis cross in front and having it cross behind (say half the toe in angle for pointing directly at you for the cross in behind situation) and see which of them is better. That will give you a pointer as to whether you need more or less toe in than having them point directly at you. From there you can start experimenting with toe in angle in smaller increments to find the best result for both soundstage/imaging and for tonal balance.

Go slowly when considering tonal balance. You're used to a particular balance and you will probably tend to respond negatively to changes initially. Give yourself time to accustom to the change before making a final decision on any tonal change, and that may take several hours of listening to different material spread over some days.

As I said when I made the suggestion, there are no guarantees that changing toe in will help but it helped in my room which is L-shaped. The left side of my room is roughly 7 metres long, the right side 4 metres long. I've got Dynaudios which are also recommended for use with no toe in and problems with a soundstage shifted to one side plus some tonal differences from one side to the other. Toeing in the speakers to point directly at me helped but didn't completely fix the problem. I had to use absorption to eliminate some asymmetrical reflections in order to get my best results.
