On my old pc, nothing I did like foam or dynamat really worked.THe new pc is much quieter, with quiet psu, and case fans.
There are some products that quiet HDD noise. The ones I have (Seagates) are all pretty quiet on their own, but check the link for some products that are geared for quiet operation...they also have a fanless high performance rig.
