Yes.

Side wall first reflection points are at ear height, about halfway between your ears and the loudspeakers. (Actually, a little forward of the halfway point.) So a curve in that direction isn't a factor. This article on my company's site tells how to calculate the first reflection points:

Not really. ModeCalc is most useful for someone who's designing a new room, and has the luxury of determining the room's dimensions. For a room that's already built all it will tell you is which frequencies will resonate. But even that is not so useful because the correct solution is broadband absorption that works well to as low a frequency as possible.
