Hi Ethan ,Thanks so much for your reply.
Suddenly it occured to me that the right end of the room has no wall and opens out to the Dining-Room. In that case, does that constitute a doubling of room-mode ?Would appreciate your advise with some other questions : -
(1) Having such a large area of Ecophon Master on the ceiling , isn't this an overkill and would it cause serious undesirable/deterimental effect ? Maybe the room would be too dead ?
What effect would this have on the soundstage height ?(2) For the surround-speakers on the back wall, how should i optimise their placement on the wall ? I am thinking of placing them as high up near the ceiling as possible, and far out/away from the listening sofa, and firing vertically down rather than tilted and aimed towards the sofa. I think that would create a bigger surround field/effect, since i cannot have the surround-speakers behind the sofa as is the usual recommended position.
(3) Do you think the Main-Speakers (front L/R) are much too far apart ? Should i negotiate to shorten the AV-Cabinet ? I do not want to regret later once the cabinet is made.
Thanks and Cheers !
