Heavy Curtain as partition

Hi. I got a large room and it sapping my amplifier power so I want to downsize my room. I have a large 20x21.5-ft room and I want to use heavy removable curtain to partition the room into smaller 13x21.5-ft room for those more serious listening session. Would it work? And what type of curtain material would be more suitable? I was thinking of those heavy rubberised type of curtain. Any advise apprecaited. Thanks.
