The transformer sees a pure resistance set for its optimal load. That's reflected faithfully back to the primary at all frequencies above about 0.25Hz and below about 90kHz as a 10k resistance. I guess I don't understand the issue you have with that unless you're concerned with attracting blue whales or bats.If a source can't drive a 10k resistive load, it ought to be trashed and (if it was designed/built in the past 20 years) the designer disemboweled.
