my buddy is a photographer and is looking to be able to capture the ambient sounds on location when he is shooting.what he wants, ideally, is something no larger than a camera with a decent-quality mic already built-in and preferably to record onto DAT.
he's put me in charge of locating such a device, so i humbly request that those of you who know what the hell you're talking about point me in the right direction.
