Round up of Crown amplifiers anyone?

Would anyone who is familiar with discontinued Crown amplifiers care to give us a rundown on the differences between these product lines? I am shopping on ebay and there is such a variety of Crown products I wish I could know more about the differences – which are better for what – which lines were more successful – which are the best value etc. I have looked at the Crown Legacy documents on the Crown website , but I am looking more for something beyond their official sales pitch. I am somewhat familiar with the reputations of the D series and the PSA 2, but the rest?
