MOTU 896 HD & Mac G5?

Hello All:
Is anyone using the MOTU 896 HD? Have you also also used the 828mkII? I would love to hear your observations.
Also, if you know of something else in this price range which would be a good match for a Power Mac G5 (single 1.8ghz with 512mb ram) please speak up!Thanks,
