You shouldn't have a problem if the output impedance of the preamp is low (1000 ohms or lower) and most of them are and your line isn't running over any motors, flourescent lamp ballast, or heavy AC lines or if you don't live next door to a radio or tv station. I would try to keep it under 20 feet, but 25 feet will probably work. If you are in an area of high RF or EMI then the way to go is a output transformer on the preamp and another input transformer on the satelite power amp and twisted pair balanced lines a la Switchcraft or Nutrik 3 pin plugs (like mic cables). Then you can run as much cable as you want.Ray Hughes
