Here's what I need to do:Record a person speaking for what will eventually be a commentary track on a DVD. I'm not going to be doing this in a studio -- probably on location at their home or office -- so I need a mic that isn't going to pull in a lot of ambient sound. I also need a mic that has its own power supply -- my DAT recorded does not provide phantom power. My budget is no more than $200. I'll at most use this mic twice, so I'm not looking to make a major investment.
Any suggestions (and where to buy) would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
