I took a look at these phono items. Personally, If you can notice that much of a difference then I'd say go for it. Though I wouldn't recommend a lowball phono preamp, Most of the ones used in broadcast applications work just fine.The most important aspect of any piece of audio is slew rate. The faster it is, the quieter it is. IMO, I would look for a Shure M-64, ATI, Pacific Recorders or Audiosimetrics. The one I have seen in most applications in the broadcast arena are the ATI.
