Ampex 300-4 question?

Pro studio recording equipment and music production/industry.

Anyone out there with experienced working on the Ampex 300-4 Sync Sel tube 4 track 1/2" recorder. I recently aquired one in pretty good shape and am going to start restoration. What would it be worth if fully restored? Are these pretty much only for collectors and could not be utilized in a studio? I am having problems with posting on the Ampex Mailing list, so I wanted to try this avenue....pics of the unit are at:
