Re: Carvin Power amps

I have a Carvin DCM 1000 that is utilized to power the subs in
our bi-amped system and have been very happy with it but thought
the high's were a bit harsh when running it full range. For the
money I doubt there is much else that can compete with it.

We were doing an outside gig once when the speaker protection shut
the amp down, the soundman, instead of turning everything down just
reset the amp and all was fine, untill the third time this happened
and the voice coils got so hot that we melted one of them, the amp
was doing it's job protecting the speakers but we weren't paying attention.

These day's we use a powered Yorkville board and JBL's for small
club gig's making set-up a whole lot easier but also have the big
stuff for outside gig's if need be.

I think you'll be happy with the Carvin amps.
