Adaptor advantage: more power handling in less space.
Adaptor disadvantages: comb-filtering where the two throats merge into one; possibility of overloading the horn throat; no real gain in SPL beyond halving the impedance to the amplifier; extra cost of the adaptors.
If you use all four horns and stack pairs of them vertically, coupling the horn mouths as closely as possible, you'll avoid most of the combing and get a higher system gain, overall (assuming that you intend to use 2 drivers per side). Pair up the JBL horns for one side and the Copies for the other side if you're running stereo, just in case there's enough sonic difference that you'll have to EQ them separately.
Personally, the only way I'd use a two-into-one adaptor is if I were using two different kinds of compression drivers on the same horn, like a midrange and a tweeter with a crossover between them.
