You know that many swear by the Behringer Europower, right? For less than $200, I would give it a try.
With Maggies, the only two pro-amps I have tried were the Samson Servo 260, which was all right (smooth sounding, very musical), and the ART SLA-1 which did sound like a $180 (gritty, no guts).
When I will get maggies again, I sure will give a try to the Europower.
