When using Pure Music the itunes 64-bit/32-bit difference should be very slight. It in theory, the 64-bit itunes will run a little more efficient, which in a highly resolving system could allow for a slight change.

You could test this if you are curious. Get on a machine with Lion, in a very good audio system. You can tell itunes to run in 32-bit mode. Then run and listen to Pure Music. Then set itunes to 64-bit mode and listen to the same tracks again in Pure Music.
