Home Computer Audio Asylum

Music servers and other computer based digital audio technologies.

There are better supplies

with much lower ripple and noise. The larger supplies have anywhere from half to a quarter of the noise and much greater load stiffness. The noise spectra is lower too. Also the lower the load the lower the nose on PC supplies so the 700 - 850w higher end units run in a music server with low draw should be wonderful.
Here is my pick for performance and value without breaking the bank.
Only 2.8mv under load on 12v rail and lower on the others!
that is 80% less noise than the unit your article measures.
