Seems safe to load if you have a uRendu or even an UltraRendu?
Maybe not take any chances even with the above units and turn the unit off for the night and load in the AM as it appears to be a heat issue as the microprocessor works it's butt off doing the update and if one has been streaming high rez content for hours then tries an update the unit goes into a temperature related shut-down?
Hard for me to follow the last few pages of the Sonic Orbiter thread as there are other questions and conversations unrelated to Sonic Orbiter ver. 2.8 mixed in with the ver. 2.8 discussion.
So I'll shut things down, wait a few hours and maybe have a go.
