Thanks, Abe. I deleted the HQ Player box in the Roon app that runs on my iPad. Roon now plays. It's been a couple of days since I replaced the microrendu and CIA power supply with the ultraRendu and UpTone LPS-!.2 so comparison of sound is not really possible, except to note that it sounds great now. It's late so I played bits of Bill Evans trio Waltz for Debby and Sunday at the Village Vanguard. I was particularly impressed by the detail -- seemed as though I was sitting in the club.

Setup: MESH ethernet to ultraRendu, USB to Ayre Codex DAC, balanced analog to Ayre A7e integrated amp driving KEF LS50s -- this might be my future downsize setup. I bought the ultraRendu when I planned to replace the Ayre QX-5/20 with the DX-5 DSD as my primary Roon endpoint, a plan I've since abandoned.
