RE: Is firewire still better than usb for audio ?

Hi John!

Thanks for the answer. That's kind of sad in a way, as it would be nice to have a standardized driver. However, Microsoft has the telemetry, and I would not be at all surprised if that showed 99% of the files played on Windows are MP3s. Hi Rez files are probably not even a blip. It's kind of humbling to realize how small the audiophile market is.

I no even less about video than I do audio, but I wonder, could HDMI be used as a way to get Hi Rez files through a PC and to a DAC?
