My Mytek is at arm's reach, so I have never tried to use a remote. I have configured the FN1 button to reverse phase, enabling me to reverse phase with a single button push. In normal use I also twist the knob, as it is my commonly used volume control. (I normally keep the Mytek in digital volume control mode to bypasses a bunch of opamps. This works for both PCM and DSD input, but not for the analog input.)
My recollection from reading the manual is that it is possible to set up a universal remote to control the FN1 function. If my recollection is correct this will allow you to do what you want.
