Questions about speaker cable characteristic impedance

I am learning speaker cable characteristic impedance and what optimal (in theory) speaker cable characteristic impedance should be.

I am currently using Kimber Kable TC12, calculated characteristic impedance = 13.

AMPs are: M60 output impedance = 4.1 ohms, and MA1 is output impedance = 2.3 ohms.

Speakers are: Coincident total Eclipse speakers with nominal impedance 14 ohms; Quad 989 with Zero transformer 2:1 ratio nominal impedance of 16 ohms.

What would be the theoretical optimal speaker cable characteristic impedance for the above combinations, 2-4 ohms (close to amp output) or 14-16 ohms (close to speaker impedance)?

Any thoughts and suggestion are welcomed, and appreciated.
