I'm in for a big hurting....

Picked up recently

Beveridge 2SW-1 speakers with the built in OTL amps in the base

The amps will need a lot of attention. The speakers and subwoofers are physically in excellent condition. The panels look good and measure well. Fingers crossed. One amp is painted black from the factory, the other natural aluminum. Circuitry is the same on the amp, driver, crossover and sub amp. I surmise something went poof at one point and a replacement amp was secured.

Also with the documentation is a 10 page instruction guide on replacing " blue resin rim transducers" for aluminum trim transducers dated October 15 ,1978.

Perhaps there was a fault or leakage with the bonding resin and the factory sent out new replacements-- I've never seen a pic of anything but aluminum trim transducers . This doc is fascinating Beveridge history.

This pair will add to my model III's which I converted to direct drive. I looked for 30 years for a pair of local Beveridges. Now I have 2 sets. LOL.

I am deciding on how or if I will approach the restoration myself- lots going on here and I have numerous unfinished projects sitting on the bench in a head of these .

I've spent the last week re-familiarizing myself with the circuit and sorting " in stock " parts vs. Ordering new.

This will take some time
