Michael, for what it's worth, I too am using Hales System Two Signatures. They are being driven by MA1's (totally tricked out by Atma-Sphere) and I use Paul Speltz's Zeroes in 2X mode (3X was just too lean). The Hales are some of the most timbrely-accurate speakers I've ever heard, but they sound their best with the Zeroes. I have no experience with the M60's, but my understanding is the MA1's give you all of the good things the M60's do, with a bit more drive and low end control. I have absolutely no complaints--I will NEVER sell these MA1's. They do things that I simply do not even try to explain to others. A pair of the MA1's would be tidier than bi-amping with M60's, and I believe you'd be very happy with the sonics. By the way, I'd love to have an MP1, but I'm spoiled--I have to have a remote. So for now I'm sticking with a Placette Active Linestage. Maybe Ralph will incorporate a remote in the stuff he's going to produce in his new endeavor. We'll see.
