Lew, you raise a good question. I haven't done the comparison. I was just trying to answer the question as to whether the products were the same: they aren't. I suppose I'm another person "in the thrall" of Lloyd Walker. I hear the changes he claims for each of his modifications; he has never led me astray; he is a very astute listener whose sonic priorities match closely to mine; and I share his conviction that outstanding sound comes from paying attention to the small details that have cumulative effect. When he says he's tried a lot of variations in materials (e.g., different brass alloys) and that there is a sonic difference, I suppose I am inclined to believe him. Sorry if what I wrote implied that I'd done this comparison myself.
