You may remove the output tubes in pairs to reduce output power. There are eight output power tubes on each M60, you must remove them in pairs(take one from the left bank and the other from the right), the number of remaining tubes must be the same on each side, say 2 on the left and 2 on the right bank. And after the procedure you must rebias the amp and reset the balance. The new bias is: the number of tubes remaining X 75mA. If the are 4 tubes left, the new bias is 300mA.
