From the description of the Adcom GFP 750 in the Stereophile review:"Description: Solid-state, remote-control preamplifier switchable to passive attenuator/switcher. Rated main output level: 1V. Frequency response: 5Hz-85kHz, ±0.5dB. S/N ratio: >102dB, A-weighted. Input sensitivity: 183mV balanced, 365mV unbalanced. Input impedance: 94k ohms balanced, 47k ohms unbalanced. Output impedance: 1200 ohms balanced, 600 ohms unbalanced." It is further described as a "balanced differential design".
So, for purposes of clarification, if he's driving M60's with the Adcom, wouldn't this combo qualify as complying with the desired impedence match?? And if that's so wouldn't an interconnect solution fall under one of AS design considerations for modest influence of connecting cable between pre & amps given compliance to the pro-audio standard? I ask only because I was a little confused by your response and wanted to make sure he got the info he wanted.
FWIW, I use 25 ft. of the wire referenced by Mark between MP1 & M60s and find it to be very effective (sonics & cost).
