Lew,Yes, I'm back from Boston. Sporting a flu bug, with a crashed PC at home, and trying to get caught up at work. Typical home coming welcome.
I did the Zener tweak as I built my M-60 kit two plus years ago. I suspect I choose the 100uf @ 50V cap because it was overkill yet still a small part, but mostly because it is what I had available in my spare parts bin. I'm sure a 1uf - 10uf cap would do just fine.
