Do you have a voltmeter that reads millivolts? It sounds like there is some offset present, but it is difficult to interpret current readings. Also, your speakers have to have some DC resistance if you use them as the test loads. To confirm this, disconnect one wire from one speaker, and use the resistance measurement function. If it reads low to begin with and continues to climb to higher and higher values, then there is a capacitor in series inside the speaker and you will have to obtain some 4 to 8 ohm resistors to test your amp. If it stabilizes at some value like 4 to 16 ohms, then the speaker is fine as a test load.
