Lew,I am referring to voltage headroom. I am under the understanding that the stock MP-1 power supply has two 10VAC windings, and I am having 7.5VAC windings made for the filament supplies. The 2.5VAC difference times 1.414 , times 5A, times two, = 35watts. This will be 35 watts less heat in the 6.3VDC / 5A pass regulators. The toroid may run cooler as well, but I can't be positive.
