Thats interesting. I get the same results as you, but on 2.75 times, not 2, and our speakers have similar impedence characteristics. Could be the actual impendence curves are quite different or maybe its a speaker sensitivity thing. I did this quite a while ago, and my system has changed dramatically since then so I think I'll try the 2 Xs again and see what its like.
