You have a point. With two 6SN7s or four 6SN7 sections per channel, the output Z of an MP1 would be lower than that of the MP3 using two 6SN7 sections per channel. The formula for the Circlotron Z is somewhere on the ASOG website. Obviously, Ralph feels that both pre-amps can drive the 600-ohm load.
