Eidolons with MA-2's

For the benefit of the group, Avalon Eidolons are not listed on the ASOG speaker list as a speaker with which the Atma-Sphere amplifiers mate well. I have recently added a pair of MA-2's to drive my Eidolons and I'll be a witness to them being a wonderful match. Ralph Karsten encouraged me to pursue this combination, and he was right. The MA-2's have no trouble driving the Eidolons' 4-ohm load and provide excellent bass detail combined with a natural midrange and highs that are highly detailed yet not bright. The neutrality, quickness, harmonic integrity and rock-solid soundstaging of the MA-2's are a truly satisfying match to the best characteristics of the Eidolons. I could not be more pleased with this combination.
FWIW, I have heard from others that the Eidolons are much easier loads to drive than previous speakers from Avalon.
I have no experience using the MA-1 with this speaker. Ralph suggested that the MA-1 would have a bit less authority in the low end and less power. I did not pursue it for my system.
