It's never a good idea to R & R driver tubes unless the power is completely off. Output tubes can be exchanged, in standby, with relative safety. Be sure an use a hot mit, like the one you would use with your kitchen oven.Driver tubes are best checked with a transconductance tube tester and selected for best inter-triode matching.
As an aside, it's not unusual for Sovtek (Russian) tubes to be a source of hum. Most any other 6SN7 will not exhibit this problem.
