Hi Mark ! I have a question about the DC offset--what is it that I'm measuring exactly? Also, I have just retubed the outputs on some M60's and I have been keeping a close eye on the offset and bias daily for about 2 months. On one of the amps the offset seems to drift from 0 to about 1.20
every day. I reset it and it will continue to drift to the same position the next day. When I reset the offset, the bias is pretty much where I set previously. I am taking my measurements from the speaker terminals with a Fluke set on the 300ma setting and I'm doing this the same time every day at about 1:30 am. The other amp is much closer and does not drift very much. I do understand that the ac does vary a little so this would give me different readings sometimes but the one amp does seem to vary alot more than the other one. I have checked my output tubes at the plate and they all seem to be stable.I have switched out # 2,3 and 4 input tubes with no avail. What should I do next ????
